The motherboard connects the various boards of the PPMC system
together, distributes power, and makes the connections to the
traditional 25-pin "D" connector. An IEEE-1284 rated cable
with 25-pin Male D connector on one end and 25-pin Female D
connector on the other should be used to connect to the
computer's parallel port.
The motherboard accomodates up to 8 PPMC boards. If more are needed, an expansion motherboard can be connected with a short ribbon cable. The power cable is connected through a 6-contact Phoenix Contact plug-in wire header. There is a separate ground terminal for each voltage. Power inputs are +5 V, and + and - 12 V.
